Note* does not include the Oregon game.
What a bizarre day. From the Richmond/Charlotte bizarre to the phantom foul in the Oklahoma State/Baylor game. Wacky Thursday of college hoops. Unfortunately Baylor will most likely miss the tournament with their loss. Welcome St. Mary’s! The Gaels stay might be shortlived pending what happens tomorrow in the SEC tournament. A favorable result for Kentucky or Ole Miss could push them into the field. Oklahoma’s loss hurts them, and could ultimately put them in Dayton, but I believe they should be safe on Sunday. I’m becoming more confident by the day that Middle Tennessee State will get in.
Also wanted to point out how absurd the MEAC tournament is, as the 5-8 seeds all pull the upset and advance to the semifinals. Welcome Morgan State? Louisiana Tech and Denver were two teams out of the WAC I could potentially have picked in a 13-4 upset, but unfortunately they both fell in the quarterfinals. Louisville and Georgetown are VERY close to Kansas on the top line.
