Bracketology

This was our final bracketology post hours before the committee selected.

How we did: 68 out of 68 correct! Correct First four at large match-ups. 60 within 1 seed line, 67 teams within 2 seed lines, and then there was Oregon. We hope you enjoyed our bracketology throughout the year. Look for us again in January!

Here are the anticipated first four games in Dayton:

Liberty vs Long Island Brooklyn

Middle Tennessee State vs St. Mary’s

Southern vs North Carolina A&T

Boise St vs La Salle

Notes:

Ole Miss moves up to an 11 seed with their SEC Championship; congratulations Rebels! I have them in a Rebels duel with UNLV.

Although I am a big fan of the New Mexico Lobos and had been clamoring for them for a 1 seed, but I believe the 2 line has greatly improved over the last week, and I believe it is fair to have New Mexico as a 3 seed in the West; going from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles. Florida falls to a dangerous 4 seed, with Kansas State taking their place.

My last five out: Tennessee, Southern Miss, Virginia, Baylor, UMass

I believe that Tennessee has the best chance of getting in of the teams I have out, but I would expect the committee to give the nod to the Blue Raiders of MIddle Tennessee State, or the Gaels of St. Mary’s. I expect La Salle and Boise State to play in Dayton but I think they are safer than most expect.
